is your kitchen now just the L or will there still be an island in front? I ask because you always only look at the wall and there is only one work surface between the cooktop and the sink. The dishwasher is also in the middle so that you have about 120 cm of surface. I also see a corner cabinet, which will cause you trouble sooner or later because parts eventually give out.

Why should they? As long as you don't put "bricks" (many heavy pots) on it, I don't see any problems. It still works perfectly with our ALNO kitchen, 15 years in the kitchen and now 10 years in the garage as a "workbench." But if I want to use the corner in the kitchen as storage nowadays, I'd rather use a Le Mans pull-out; it's more convenient.

Personally, I don't like kitchen islands, but that's another topic. The kitchen is the property. as finished. The countertop is more than enough. Working with discipline makes it much easier. To the left of the stove you can still keep ingredients for cooking. The Ikea carousel is so "primitive," nothing breaks down. And if it does, I buy a new carousel for 25€ and replace it ;). Oh yes, with a kitchen row it is quite normal to look at a wall by the way. It makes little sense to install a window into the bathroom behind it. Of course the wall hasn't been left bare. Shelves in matching white and "decorative stuff" also belong there. Herbs and such are placed on them. To the left in the niche above the carousel there is space for a kitchen machine etc. Above that, small corner shelves for things you need less frequently.
