Bedroom idea - bed / wardrobe arrangement

Ah ok, this corner. It also depends on how far the bed is from the window. In the picture, I assumed a distance of one meter. I also assumed the bed to be 1.80m. Currently, it is 1.40m. Maybe it will be 1.60m. So there would still be some leeway. The distance from the stairs to the wall at the top of the plan is 1.30m

Just for comparison, now there are only 18cm to pass between the wardrobe and the bed. So 50cm would be pure luxury That would then be wall - bed.

This corner. On paper, it looks harmless. But in reality, there is an ugly high wall where you have to squeeze past. And that every evening. Well, good night!

Honestly, I don't see it as that dramatic. In our current kitchen (still a rental), we have a 50cm passage at the kitchen entrance between the cabinet and the fridge. When planning, I thought it would be terribly tight (but it couldn't be helped because the room is really difficult), but actually it doesn't bother me at all. And people go to the bedroom even less often than to the kitchen.

Well, beds cannot be reduced to mattress size alone; a frame, headboard, etc. are also part of it. That’s why I always draw beds in floor plans with 10 cm more than the mattress size ... so 190x210 or 150x210, etc. The beds also don’t stand right up against the wall, but have an extra one or two cm of space, and so on.

And, in your own house, 50 cm is not a luxury ... you will also always be annoyed because it is a wall corner and it can quickly look worn down.
