I also find that practical. I often have the problem of not having enough appliances; I think if you have these two combination devices, you are very well equipped. When our kitchen is due for renovation someday, that will probably be our choice as well.

We have all three individually and are completely satisfied with them so far.

We also have 2 combination appliances, a DGC and an oven with microwave. Super practical, especially since we often use 2 ovens in parallel, especially when there are many guests.

Actually, it is a question of budget and affinity for technology. Since I have 2 cooking compartments in the kitchen, I use them in parallel. Not that I missed that before – it simply brings joy and I cook different dish combinations. The larger appliance is an oven with grill, top/bottom heat, convection, microwave, and can, for example, add steam for roasting, but it is not a steam cooker. The smaller appliance has a full steam cooker function, but no microwave. Under the smaller appliance, there is also a warming drawer. The appliances have all sorts of other gadgets. Wonderful. Defrosting works wonderfully with steam, by the way. No one needs it, if I'm honest – it brings me joy.

No matter what you buy, I strongly advise against the "self-cleaning" coating (catalysis). The self-cleaning is a joke, but hand cleaning also doesn't work because the coating is rough and gets damaged even with the slightest rubbing. A technician from the Siemens customer service even said that it doesn’t work and many customers complain because the ovens look like a 10-year-old appliance after half a year. Either a normal coating and clean it yourself or pyrolysis (but this is not available from DGB).

So the pyrolysis in the oven works great with Miele.... (and yes I am biased)
by the way, again why 3 separate appliances: it just happened that way and yes we sometimes need all 3 at the same time. Potatoes in the steam oven, meat in the oven and then something separately reheated in the microwave.
