That is correct, electric cooktops also generate a magnetic field, but this is indeed less critical than with induction fields. This is simply because induction fields operate at a much higher frequency. This very high frequency is, among other things, what can be unhealthy.

We have now purchased our Schüller country house kitchen and have decided on the following appliances:

Dishwasher
Neff: S52P65X0EU (GX665)
Oven
Siemens: iQ700 HB678GBS6

Cooktop
Bosch: Series 8 PKM875DP1D

Extractor hood
Schüller hood + Neff fan module: DML5866N (D58ML66N0)

Refrigerator

Geronje: ONRK193C

The appliances can still be changed. We only need the kitchen at the end of the year anyway. What do you think? Okay, the cooktop currently does not have induction – and that might be up for discussion here. This is, among other things, besides the discussion about magnetic fields, also because we only have one pot and one pan suitable for induction.

The dishwasher is apparently a model with “fleet storage technology.” That means lower water consumption (not insignificant: 1820l/year compared to 2660l/year). Do you see this as rather critical (hygiene) or rather a good idea?

What is your general impression?

Best regards & thanks!

Dishwasher: Due to currently poor experiences with Neff dishwasher, I would not buy Neff anymore (dishes do not get properly clean) Oven: too expensive compared to better equipped Bosch appliances, otherwise very good Cooktop: Ceran is a deal breaker for me (the discussion is still ongoing ) Hood: module is okay, but weak with recirculation (according to datasheet), low noise, fairly high price Refrigerator: okay, high price due to the appearance

Thank you for your quick response, which I would also like to briefly address.

Dishwasher: I had also considered Bosch or Siemens, but the models are apparently really from the same production line/essentially the same, right!?
Oven: We are currently getting it as an anniversary promotion for 1000 EUR, I think that’s fair then!? Especially since it is also factored in proportionally in the final discount we negotiated. Of course, the other appliances are more expensive when buying a kitchen than on the internet (as it usually is). We also liked Bosch better (less stainless steel), but it couldn’t be offered at that price. We think the equipment of the Siemens is already "really good."
Cooktop: Yes, I understand.
Extractor hood: Ok, we will also have to use recirculation. But the hoods generally have worse performance with recirculation than with exhaust, don’t all models? I don’t know of any alternative now. Especially regarding noise level & performance.
Refrigerator: Yes, relatively expensive, but also quite large (194cm) + as you already said, the price is also due to the look. But we will buy the refrigerator ourselves later.

Best regards
Gatho

Or put differently: 0.84 m³ per year. With an annual consumption of 200 m³ for the average family, that would definitely get me a "not insignificant, but absolutely" out of it.

For our costs per cubic meter of water, electricity consumption is much more important in terms of costs. And a slightly higher water consumption ensures that the pipes/sewage system are also well flushed.
