Should the refrigerator be freestanding or integrated?

Alternative: recessed cooktop. This keeps the edge intact and cleaning is much easier. But it requires about three times higher countertop costs. And, as already mentioned several times, choose a countertop depth of 80 cm. A very simple matter, but no technical gadget or appliance can surpass this gain in comfort. And this with very manageable additional costs.

???? Simple???
That means: a larger kitchen. In an L-shape and standard room layout in the house, this means an extension and widening of the house by 20 cm. The adjacent rooms also grow accordingly. This can be an advantage, but costs still increase. So it is not simple.
Or am I misunderstanding you?

What can an extension of 20cm possibly cost?!

No: if there is no space, of course you can’t do it. But there are people who even plan an island in the kitchen because they can’t use the dance floor otherwise. (Warning, may contain traces of sarcasm).

Specifically: if 20cm of cabinet disappear from the short leg of the "L," they are compensated multiple times by deeper drawers on the long leg. So you don’t have to enlarge the house. Only 20 cm of "walking space" disappear. Those who have it should use it this way. Those who don’t have it are out of luck.

And many are reading here whose kitchen layout hasn’t been fixed yet. For them, the "simple" tip can still be timely...

Absolutely! A very good suggestion. We will not move away from our island, but planning the long side of the L at 80cm is a very interesting idea!

Now also my two cents on this:

Refrigerator: Definitely freestanding. As already mentioned, the integrated ones rarely offer a 0-degree compartment and the freezer compartment is a joke. We had a frame made around our refrigerator from the countertop. This way it also fits well into the overall look.

Cooktop: Here I would also go for the 80 cm width and induction. We have an 80 cm induction cooktop from S*****s with a warming zone in the middle (which we have never used). When you see the normal cooktops now, you never want to go back we love induction. With the boost function, water boils faster than in the kettle. We also no longer have burnt plastic bowls because of that. However, I would pay attention to a touch slider control (for increasing and decreasing the heat levels). We have to control our heat levels with + and -, which is always a bit awkward. We have an edge trim; I can't say how it is without one.

Oven: Standard width at chest height, also from S*****s with pyrolysis function. I've used it twice in 2 years and the oven looks like new afterward. Duration is about 90 minutes. I also tried oven cleaner spray and steam with lemon, etc. With that I barely got anything off. You have to remove the racks, but that takes about 20 seconds.

Briefly about the operation of the cooktop. I bought a new Neff cooktop with the TwistPad system in the fall. I really like this operation with the magnetic rotary control. For cleaning, simply remove the control and wipe over it like a regular cooktop.

Neff ovens have 3 different racks that look almost identical externally but are for 3 different applications (Standard, AquaClean, Pyrolyse). I chose the one suitable for pyrolysis and do not have to remove anything.
