If only I knew.

The first planner only drew our design. With the family member, we did not agree in the initial meeting. That is why there is no design.

About the draft or about the fee? It reads as if each of the architects created their own plans. Regarding the basement/ground floor: You write that you find it great with your friends. Do they have children? Just ask if they have a problem with it or what problem arises for them when they spend time in the garden. Just ask if they would prefer the garden to be barrier-free. When I read about hobby rooms for sewing and home office spaces, I’m half-heartedly also in favor of the basement being at ground level, but only because it’s simply cool to experience a short break from the computer on a (barrier-free) terrace. If that is also a way of life, just like sewing by large windows with a view axis into the garden—do it. But please not with an attached tunnel vision, where you see the sky only further back and a terrace ceiling blocks the view and the light.

What depth had you planned for the terrace? If you like it better this way, you should have the views drawn including the raised terrace, also in relation to the street on the right side of the plan.

Addendum: a huge room is being built under the garage. What is planned there?

Have them provide in writing what is included in the budget. The general contractor might not consider the garage included and certainly not the basement underneath. Slate roof? Very classy. Very expensive. Of course, it is also in the budget.

I really don't like the tower in the south view. At least make a gable roof with knee walls and the largest possible dormers.

The half-height windows really have nothing to do with Jura.

The view of the sewage treatment plant is often overrated. Some large trees help with that.
