I have a question about cleaning vinyl flooring. This floor has a somewhat "rubber-like" feel. If you wipe over it with a damp microfiber mop, that must be difficult, right? The floor isn't as smooth as laminate. What experiences do you have with it?

Hello Sabine,
as a rule, vinyl floors are coated with a so-called UV-protection layer. Below that are a vinyl wear layer and the vinyl decorative layer.
The whole thing then feels soft (as you call it rubbery), but thanks to the protective layer, it has a relatively smooth, easy-to-clean surface. So don’t worry, you won’t be scrubbing yourself silly. So wiping with a damp cloth is absolutely no problem.

Do you actually need a special cleaner for vinyl? Or is regular floor/multipurpose cleaner enough for mopping?

I cannot fully agree with Sigi now. It depends on the surface of the floor. There are smooth and grained surfaces. The more wood grain appearance, the harder it is to wipe. For this reason, we have now bought a vacuum mop. In the long run, cleaning the vinyl in the conventional way was too exhausting for me. I recommend sample pieces. I use a vinyl floor cleaner because it was strongly recommended to us after the complaint.
