But it really looks like you need to even it out again - or is the bumpy track deceiving? We did it with silicone - so far everything is good.

No kidding, the floor layer was already here. All good
Silicone? I hadn't even considered that yet
Can you upload a picture? Which silicone did you use?

PCI, but I have now switched to Otto Chemie. For the joints in particular, I used alcohol-crosslinked silicone and also use a primer. It is available in all kinds of colors.

I will give it a try. If I don’t like it, I’ll get some strips from the hardware store.

If there is already a nice big vinyl thread here: We have planned rigid vinyl floating on Selitbloc underlay in our living-dining area in the new building and wanted to order it yesterday. However, the (supposed) specialist dealer now advises us against vinyl in general because it is fundamentally unsuitable for direct sunlight (living room on the south side with floor-to-ceiling windows); he cites possible "blistering" (not wave formation) which is unavoidable with directly sunlit vinyl (even with correct and professional installation). There is nothing to be found about this on the internet. What are your experiences regarding vinyl, direct sunlight, and "blistering"? By the way, he recommends (strangely cheaper) laminate.

So ours has been in place for a few weeks now. No problem at all. We have many floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a bay window. Even with massive sunlight exposure, the floor hardly gets warm. No sign of blistering. I can't imagine that Parador or Haro, for example, would sell a plank if that were the case.
