If there is already a nice big vinyl thread here: We have planned rigid vinyl floating on Selitbloc underlay in our living-dining area in the new building and wanted to order it yesterday. However, the (supposed) specialist dealer now advises us against vinyl in general because it is fundamentally unsuitable for direct sunlight (living room on the south side with floor-to-ceiling windows); he cites possible "blistering" (not wave formation) which is unavoidable with directly sunlit vinyl (even with correct and professional installation). There is nothing to be found about this on the internet. What are your experiences regarding vinyl, direct sunlight, and "blistering"? By the way, he recommends (strangely cheaper) laminate.
