Our floor has a lot of character, one color is not enough there. And adding it afterwards would probably be difficult because most rails consist of a base part on which the floor rests and with which the upper part is then screwed or clicked. Everything else probably wouldn't hold in the long run. And I wouldn't dare to screw it directly to the screed with underfloor heating, I think *g*

Yes, that works - and screws in the floor are no problem either. I know where the cables are located and I also have at least 5cm coverage.

It would be too dangerous for me. The probability that a pipe was slightly swollen is minimal at those points, but I am not willing to take that risk. That is why we also glued the retaining strips.

But you will most likely not be able to install the profiles with the retaining strips afterwards without additional work.

Usually, it's just the frame in the way when lifting.
