Hmm... So we will have the vinyl glued now in the kitchen, dining room, and hallway. I looked at it with acquaintances who also had vinyl glued in a new building and found it quite nice. But the acquaintances have the vinyl in tile form and not in large strips. With us, it will also be "tiles," but without "decorative joints" in between. At the acquaintances', it has also been in place for two years and nothing has come loose or lifted. The screed will first be sanded, filled, and primed with us, and then the vinyl planks will be glued on top.

Hello you two,

how satisfied are you with your floor coverings by now? You’ve been living there for a while now...?

Best regards

I can't report anything negative so far. We still like the design, the warmth felt on the feet is significantly higher than with the laminate previously known in the rental apartment, and with sunlight it becomes almost cozy warm.

What we definitely underestimated a bit is the "own smell" if you don't ventilate. If you don't enter and ventilate the room for two days, you can still notice it quite clearly. However, with regular use of the room, this is not noticeable. We have covered two rooms and the hallway on the upper floor with it and currently use one room only as temporary storage. Hence the different observation.

Overall, the floor in our home is not heavily used, so we can't say much about its long-term durability. But our cats really like lying on it in the sun.

We have laid our floor in the kitchen-living area.

The appearance is very appealing, and it is also quite easy to clean. Unfortunately, our floor expanded considerably. We had to trim it three times.

I have not been home for two weeks, but my men are really annoyed by the corrections.
I plan to contact the seller as soon as I am home again at the end of next week. Let’s see if we got a faulty batch or if this expansion behavior is normal.

According to the sales staff and description, this should not have happened.

What surface areas (width and length) have you installed? We had no problem meeting the prescribed edge distance despite direct sunlight. Did you store the elements open at the installation site for a few days before installation?

A certain amount of expansion is, of course, normal, but the combination of maximum area and edge distance should actually prevent that. Trimming at the edge is a hassle.

An area of 45 sqm was occupied. The dealer himself calculated based on the floor plan. The elements remained in the room for almost two weeks.
