I would definitely reconsider it.
On the one hand, leaving out the exterior door provides considerably more floor space in the utility room, on the other hand: who wants to look into the utility room on the way to the kitchen? You lose the desire when you always walk past untidy equipment?? Make it nice for yourselves and have a door in front of the utility room.

Feasible? I think so, although many things were mentioned that should be considered.

But this house cannot arouse enthusiasm in me. I don't want to live my whole life in a compromise or live with such a serious compromise when the cause of the compromise is considered very unlikely anyway. For that, my money would be too precious and living itself too important to me!

Thank you Yvonne. We got the idea of the side door from the house we are currently living in. We find the idea very practical, and it is about a side door, not the main entrance.

What I mean by compromise refers to the time after a possible separation. In your opinion, what is negative about the current floor plan if it is not separated afterward? I would be happy to read ideas or suggestions from you.

It is an idea with the outside side door, but there are so many ideas... most are not needed, some are gladly wanted, others are discarded due to budget or space availability.
If you need floor space along the walls, outside doors are eliminated at first. Specifically where the floor space is needed, in your utility room [Hauswirtschaftsraum]. The laundry can also be taken out elsewhere if necessary, at least I would never want to enter the kitchen so defensively through the utility room to the back. Then this side door rather drops out – as you say: it is only a side door.
In the living and kitchen area, on the other hand, the outside entrances seem too few to me.

The big compromise can be seen here: lack of spaciousness on the ground floor, as separate apartments are already being considered. Downstairs you have the living character of an apartment, but not of a house.
The staircase is located in the area of the dirt trap, meaning: you constantly step on socks or barefoot through the dirt accumulation that inevitably comes from entering the house from outside.
A compromise resulting from this apartment layout is also the path from the bedroom to the bathroom passing by the entrance. This completely eliminates privacy.
I am also not a fan of placing the sofa in the middle if the room does not have the corresponding size. You always only look at a wall that is too close... not having a wall behind the sofa is also perceived as rather uncomfortable... (lack of cave effect)

But to go into more detail here, fundamental information about the plot etc. is missing.

But if this is exactly what you want, i.e. the focus on functionality, then it fits.
With three children you certainly have different priorities than spaciousness

Regards

Hello,
now I have noticed that I made a mistake in post #10. Both pictures for [Dach- und Erdgeschoss] show the [Dachgeschoss]. How can I correct it?

You can no longer change that, as the 10-minute editing time has passed. You can only upload the correct images here in a new post. That also makes more sense, then everyone will still see it because people usually click on the thread and then land on the first unread post, not post 10.

Thank you Yvonne for your reply. Now your idea has reached me. We want to have a practical, functional, and simple floor plan. Because of that, it might seem too conservative.

Thank you kbt09. Here are the pictures again. For the ground floor, I will upload 2 pictures, the second picture shows the kitchen being accessible directly from the hallway. My better half prefers this option because you don't have to go through the utility room to get into the kitchen. What do you think?
