What I don't understand - do you also want to buy the property only in three years? Will it still be available then? Or now? And have you already saved capital? I still don't understand your timeline.

We want to buy as long as land is still available. After the purchase, we would then take as much time as possible to continue building up the corresponding equity. I hope to get more concrete information from the city next week to be able to plan better in terms of timing.

For me, to be honest, this is simply pure madness. I also honestly don't understand how banks can finance something like this. The desperation to get the money to the man/woman at any cost must really be great.

Have you by any chance calculated how much actual repayment your loan installment contains? I can't imagine it. True to the motto: bury your head in the sand and get through it!

Of course I have. About 1,400 euros at the beginning and now? I would also rent here for 1,800-2,500 euros. A very simple calculation... Big city, mind you, not the middle of nowhere and new construction.

Could you subtly ask what happens if the three-year period is exceeded while you are still in the middle of construction?

Of course I will do that. Ideally, there would be 2 years time until financing to at least securely reach around €150,000 in equity. Otherwise, we will have to plan accordingly smaller. What we also do not yet know of course is whether further new development areas are planned in the coming years. I will definitely be able to report more next week.
