That's how it is. The alternative would be constant surveillance to prevent every mistake. But that is neither good for the child's development to be overly coddled in that way, nor for the parent, whose existence is reduced to a surveillance machine and trouble remover. Therefore, things just happen. Sometimes not for weeks, sometimes three days in a row.

So thoughts are free, and as a modern person, one can separate their emotions from their actions. I have often thought about an electric shock collar over the past two years...

Still, I prefer a few flaws in my beautiful country house floorboards rather than in laminate or vinyl. The former looks like life to me, the latter simply like "broken."

Then that is okay too. But you probably won’t have to give up a new phone every two years to afford the floor.
However, if you are planning a house that requires a loan that could almost drive you to ruin, a scratch hurts tremendously.
Better to furnish more cheaply and lay the farmhouse plank when the kids are older, the old flooring is worn out, and you are financially more stable again.

These are all detailed considerations that are still far away for the OP. I hope we have not driven the OP away through the side discussion. I would be interested in feedback on the design of the construction obligation and the bank's assessment of the loan amount.

I think it's a misconception that you quickly install a new floor once the kids have moved out. It's a huge effort. I'd rather save elsewhere, e.g., on an expensive couch, etc., which is much easier to change. And nowadays there is also affordable parquet flooring, which in my opinion is still a hundred times more beautiful than an artificial floor.
