Floor plan single-family house 1.5 + basement / 1. Preliminary draft - suggestions?

The airlock is not a good idea for the reasons mentioned by @ypg (even if you don’t want to hear that). If you don’t want to let go of the idea, leave out the garage door anyway, but construct the exterior wall so that you can easily retrofit a side entrance door. If you still miss it in three years, you can retrofit the door (which you won’t do anyway :) ).

The most stupid intermediate door of all time is probably simultaneously the most defended or sugar-coated "feature" (or in my opinion, gimmick) of the "modern" house. Sitting at a desk in the vestibule of my car, I would feel like I was working for the chauffeur service ;-)

I don't understand it either, but I've had to learn by now that people can get stuck on it. A striker I know from the local district or regional league (I’m not familiar with that) defends it with tooth and nail. 100m in 12 seconds, but the 5m in the drizzle means death by drowning.

[*]the steep roof with a low knee wall is unfavorable and is neither required by the development plan nor by space requirements. Better would be a (very) high knee wall with a 22-25° roof, possibly executed inside as an exposed roof truss. This way you won’t have problems with sloping ceilings and can plan windows on the eaves sides.

[*]I would remove the small storage room next to the ground floor kitchen and instead extend the tall cabinets all the way to the western exterior wall. This provides almost the same storage space but is much more accessible. You can also use deeper cabinets there (in my opinion, kitchen manufacturers offer such systems).
[*]the ground floor toilet should logically be extended to the outer wall as well, and possibly plan a shower.
[*]as a result, you can shift the wall from the hallway to the ground floor toilet a bit to the right on the plan and take a larger front door with glass side elements to get more light into the hallway.
[*]upstairs, I would definitely shift the wall from the corridor to the dressing room/bedroom downwards on the plan to adapt it to the stairwell.
[*]in doing so, you could also shift the wall between the children’s room and bathroom downwards on the plan to ‘streamline’ the bathroom and give the child more space.
[*]in this context, I would also move the door between bedroom/dressing room upwards on the plan and remove the separate dressing room/bathroom access (quickly crossing the corridor once is really no problem).
[*]please tidy up the doors from the corridor to the guest/children’s room (currently too convoluted).

thank you for your feedback.
I will upload a first floor plan shortly that we initially planned. This was quickly discarded because we only had a small window at the lower side and therefore hardly any daylight would have come into the dressing room. Due to the photovoltaic system, we did not want to provide a roof window or dormer there. I like the idea of a higher knee wall, as this would allow for a higher window in the dressing room. What do you think of the floor plan?

Tomorrow I will redesign the ground floor according to your ideas and see how it looks.
I haven’t found many supporters for the door to the garage yet ;) .
Maybe I will find a solution where the airlock can be realized separately from the office.

I would move the living room window further to the right so that you have a direct view from the entrance through the entire house to the garden outside.

I like the layout of the ground floor. I like the kitchen the most. I also think the pantry is not bad.

Why is everyone against it? It is also important to me to have direct access to the garage. Especially when the garage is so big and offers space not only for cars but also for other little things. Everyone in my family has direct access to the garage and finds it really practical. I also grew up in such a house and cannot imagine planning it any other way.
The other issue is the positioning of the garage access. In your case, it is somewhat suboptimally planned.
Do you often work from home, or is the office just a buffer room? If you regularly work 8-10 hours in this "office," then please do yourselves a favor and replan. But if you only want to store your little stuff there, I see the room more as a vestibule/wardrobe, and the door could of course remain.

I would divide the upper floor differently. You don’t need the large wardrobe—you are planning a basement where winter clothes can be stored. I would not place the children's room directly next to the bedroom.
