Oops, I overlooked that there are stairs down to the basement. Because a door is drawn there, I thought it was a storage room. Then my solution doesn't work anyway :(

Now living room, stairs, closet, airlock width AND office don't fit in the length! And now?
It's pointless to glorify something that isn't feasible. If the space is there, you can do it. But here, either a bare airlock of one meter width or the office opens to the hallway, that doesn't bring any comfort to the house and its inhabitants.
About the meter width: shopping baskets, bags... you don't hold things gently in front of your body, but they enlarge your range of action. That's how it looks then:

I only said that I definitely wouldn’t want to do without this room. I also don’t have a separate office ;-) Maybe both can be combined, a smaller office or the wall removed to get light into the hallway and set up a corner there for office stuff, with a good carpenter and ideas there’s surely something possible.

Great that it's like that for you. However, here it is not like that. Have you also looked at the floor plans discussed here before your post?

No, I was staring into space....
Honestly
The current draft won't work, but we are still brainstorming after all

Man, some people here in this forum are so closed-minded

At our place, the front door is unnecessary. Everyone goes through the side entrance. Only the parcel service rings the bell anymore. Even the mail carrier leaves the packages and the mail in front of the side entrance door. But it has to fit. This dark narrow hallway does not accommodate any wardrobe, sports equipment, or garden shoes. It is just a passageway. If you consider that one square meter costs 2,500 euros, that's an expensive affair.
