Edit: By the way, 170 and 280 comply with all 3 rules, and I'm not satisfied with that either. But you know what? The staircase is as it is.

On the one hand, to the price increase. Everyone is going crazy.

Then the floor plan. "Unfocused great" AWESOME! Unfortunately, I know that too. :(
I find the starting point in the attic more successful and currently, in my personal opinion, it has not yet succeeded. Alone the bathroom is narrow in such a large house. Don't get me wrong, I also prefer smaller bathrooms. The bedroom is large, and originally two equally sized children's rooms were planned.

And if you haven't financed yet, you will get into an even worse mood by then.

For me, the ignorance of your draftsman is already disappointing. It would not be a problem at all to stretch the staircase to comfortable dimensions. Whether the living room is now 4.36m deep or 4.15m deep is not crucial. But it matters for the hallway concerning the staircase. The same applies to all floors. As for the downstairs bathroom, I see the wrong position of the entrance as the culprit. But more than posting sketches here really isn't possible, is it? ;) And the price increase is also a shock.

yes, I will now suggest that too or rather we have already set a date. It just annoys me that in the end I have to do the work and then pay a lot of money afterwards. The general contractor is probably out, I find that rather cheeky. I had asked for the staircase to be moved as far down as possible so that the kitchen and children's room would be bigger. But somehow, it doesn't work like that either. To all the others: yes, the price increase is nasty and the interest rate hike does the rest. Another updated offer including the now calculated concrete wall and based on the building ground report is 40k below the offer price of the first mentioned general contractor. But we will only build with them if we ultimately build without KFW, because to me they are too uncertain/inexperienced/nervous regarding Kfw 40. Thanks for your sympathy :D :)
