Yes, best to kill it right away before you get too attached. That much time is obliged. No, it’s quite simple. I just hadn’t seen it. Too bad. Quite the opposite. Those who haven’t learned this almost always build rubbish, literally speaking. That way, a lot of money is quickly flushed down the drain. ...btw. : Folding door? Really?

But you provide the best counterargument yourself: Exactly: toothless, hairless, and only one's own mother finds it beautiful. But with babies, this changes as they grow up and learn to walk, talk, and eat without accidents. Floor plans do not.

At the risk of being annoying, I have slightly adjusted the standard attempt again. Actually, I only wanted to show two things.
1. I would rather make the island long than thick and place it crosswise in front of the kitchen unit – much more practical for working. Behind it, there is then still space to walk past.
2. I had the idea to install a small (Ø 140cm) spiral staircase in the attic corridor to permanently access the roof peak (50°).

Is it troublesome for you to dimension the plan overall? This way I like it significantly better anyway. The stair dimensions interest me. My parents have a roughly 2*2 meter staircase, but that is definitely too steep for me. I have also tried the kitchen island lengthwise, but so far it hasn't really worked for me. In principle, I am completely with you there. The sliding doors are something I find worth considering, but actually, a corner glazing installed by ourselves was supposed to go there. But we will see that when we have moved in, in 100 years.

For the stairs, I always assume a floor height of 2.90 m. Roughly 2.60 m room height + 30 cm ceiling and floor. These are standard dimensions, which are a good average. Accordingly, the U-stairs are:

The goal is a rise of about 18.5 or less and a tread of about 26 or more. I would consider the 6 mm negligible. It can also be corrected in depth if desired. Stair width always 1 m.

The sliding doors can also be glazed – maybe not fully, but at least partially. I just wanted to present this option to show the space gain for the 6 brothers who then dance around the table. ;)

I have to create a dimensioning manually. My program is already very old. So gladly, but then please say which one. Exterior walls are 40, interior normally 20, if it is only boxing or room dividers, usually only 10.

Hello from the depths.

I had adjusted the floor plans for us once and asked our architect to check how sensible that is. But to be honest, I’m annoyed because I feel like he just copied them. However, the plans are now dimensioned. With the previous plans, there is only limited comparability, since the walls are narrower again, so I would also have a gain in space in the old plans. Additionally, the bathroom is now very tight for a wheelchair/walker user. I find the stairs extremely steep with a tread of 18.9 and 26, considering that we have to manage all traffic (shopping, every visitor) up there. Our architect just liked everything in an unfocused way and just wants to submit the building application, I think.

We also received a new offer calculation with our plans from early January, and one general contractor has simply become about 30 thousand more expensive within 5 weeks. Can’t even puke that much.
