Yes, I guess they simply forgot the sliding door. It was still present in an earlier draft. Did you upload your floor plan here as inspiration?

I wanted to check the age, for example. Mid-30s then – which means you belong to a generation for whom not changing houses in old age will be rather rare, if not almost exotic against the trend.

We also have a sauna in the bathroom but a few sqm less and it is still more than enough space. I mean e.g. the space in front of the shower

the air space appears intentional rather than skillful.

Kitchen Google the magic triangle. Distance between the rows about 120 to 130 cm. Your path from the kitchen work area to the table, no matter which one = roughly the same distance. Terrace, where is it planned?

The straight staircase is not the problem. The problem is your approach, as long as it is big. What becomes unergonomic (kitchen) or gives the impression of a shoe box (hall)

With your current kitchen of 22 sqm, that is okay, but the planned one is very disharmonious, impractical, and 5 sqm larger. The designer's draft with the table in the corner, which cannot be used, doesn't really need to be pursued further.

Thank you for the hint. One always assumes when moving in at mid-30s that it is something for old age.

How big is your sauna? And are you satisfied with the size?
I actually found it quite difficult to arrange everything in the bathroom so that the paths are still comfortable.
In the planning program you can look at everything in 3D and as a result all the rooms actually look very tiny. Maybe it’s because of the program.

The terrace opens out to the living/dining area and with the option of a “around the corner” terrace

Are 18 sqm really that small for a hallway?
