But it is certainly relevant for private individuals. Fritzbox in the utility room and then wonder why the wifi on the upper floors is slow (only 2.4 GHz) or nonexistent. Streaming doesn't work properly, etc. Then attempts are made to improve what doesn't work properly with crutch solutions (Powerline or repeater). Two more land lines on the floors with their own access point and everything would work.

Then I'll just give it a try: Since the Fritz has an omnidirectional antenna, I exclude the radiation itself as the cause. Since you probably haven’t covered the bathroom floor with lead plates either, the utility room remains the only source of the problem. My guess is that the distribution of the underfloor heating pipes for the upper floor happens to run along the underside of the bathroom on the upper floor. These are massive water-carrying components whose attenuation is simply too high. The 2.4 GHz band happens to be almost exactly at the frequency of microwaves – and it is well known that they like to transfer energy to water. The 7490 can also transmit on 5 GHz – but this usually ends after the first massive wall anyway. But definitely after reinforced concrete.

That's how it is.
For the most part.
The structure of our house required comparatively a lot of steel to support the roof construction and attenuates the signal so strongly at less than 3m distance that reception becomes impossible in combination with the underfloor heating.
On the ground floor, the attenuation in the living areas is also very high because the signal has to pass through at least 35cm of sand-lime bricks plus at least 8cm of plaster (two, respectively three walls).
Per se, there is nothing wrong with WLAN, but concentrating all data traffic on it is a disturbance-prone one-way street.
In our old apartment, we never had problems with wired connections, but always occasionally with WLAN.
It won't be any different in the house.

Unfortunately, I find this comment really good.
I unfortunately suspect that you will not manage to stay within budget. The consequence will be lacking. And you won’t even notice it immediately.

Also, considering civil engineering work and embankment possibilities as plannable at this phase. Holy smoke, what does your husband do again? Who needs to have the experience? Me or your husband?

Ask your husband how many of the large construction projects go financially out of control after the bidding phase! It looks mostly no different in the private sector.

From my own experience: earthworks: written assessment from the construction company BEFORE signing the contract but AFTER submission of the soil report: €3000 is enough plus drainage pipes. Now that it's getting concrete: €10,000 including drainage and construction road etc. in black and white. But no, now we need 3 times as much mineral mix as estimated, so I am currently calculating €13,000. Thanks to the forum I knew exactly that this would happen and have planned accordingly in the overall calculation. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, normally I would never have planned a buffer of €10,000 for this item, after we had specifically asked the construction company.
