I would like to step in here. The main reason is probably that you don't want me constantly walking around on your land and spraying Superstinki. At least I would be more pissed off if you were running around at my place than just your cat.

So it really is a proper fundamental discussion between cat haters and cat lovers.... Our neighbors simply tapped into the construction electricity.... according to your great method and your awareness I would now simply cut the line..... that will surely be good for the neighborhood relationship.... We are humans and not animals and should therefore be able to talk and not just mark our property ....

Hello Snowy

I am certainly not a "cat hater".
I just think that cat owners are responsible and should not use the argument: "It’s my right," "Prove to me that it was my cat," or something similar to shirk responsibility.
I would address the cat owner about it. If he cannot be identified, the trapping method comes into play. If he is uncooperative, the shovel method is used. I think that is fair.

Hello kaho

if that stuff stinks, it’s out of the question. Then the cat owner should have a plan B ready.

No, you cannot and must not. Animal protection laws apply here.
By the way, it can take weeks for a cat to be found despite flyers and so on.

There are rulings that say cats must be tolerated. Damages caused by cats must be compensated. Cat feces is not considered damage.
However, there are also rulings that restrict cat ownership to a certain number. Which does not help with the roaming radius.

It is permitted to catch animals with live traps, e.g., for the vet, neutering campaigns, etc. However, animals must be cared for, released immediately, and not abandoned.

Cats die quite quickly in these temperatures. No food also means no water.

I also live in the countryside. There are no live traps for cats; no one gets upset about cats. They are used as mouse traps. Better cat feces than a mouse plague.

Hello haydee

Quod erat demonstrandum!
I think you are quite on the wrong track there.
There are court rulings (consistently from the local court) stating that (up to 2) cats must be tolerated in the garden. However, no additional damage may occur. This damage is present in feces on the lawn.
Why, I ask you, are cat owners so selfish? They generally refuse to help with the removal of the damage. Why don’t you want to cooperate with the affected garden owner?
