You should keep the company window tilted so the cat comes back and can be caught with a live trap placed by you. Then you can keep it until the owner gets in touch. The owner should clean up the mess then. Of course, you have to keep the basket until then.

Haha.
The owner and the cat are known. They live in the same building. This is a multi-family house with shops downstairs. I already saw the cat today and immediately asked if she has a bird? She said "mi-ja."
