Are you even noticing anything...? Actually, I would like to respond to that now, but I think that is completely hopeless and useless with you...

Calm down. That was Kaho’s comment with a little smile, and it’s more about the point behind it than the fine choice of words.
If the cat (provably) makes a mess, it is also very unpleasant for the owner. Maybe they don’t always show it. And then it always depends on the way you point out the pet’s mistake.
If a neighbor makes a huge fuss because she found an alleged sausage among her dahlias, I would rather shrug. But if the neighbor calmly comes and asks me to help solve the problem so that the tomcat no longer poops on the lawn at night, I am immediately on board.
Therefore provable: Our cats were once accused of always nibbling on an old neighbor’s flower bush. I couldn’t imagine that. Although the three turn into cows from time to time, flowers were never on their menu. I then googled and found out that her bush would be toxic to cats. Not to death, but it should make them feel very bad.
When I pointed this out to her, she admitted she never caught a cat nibbling, but only saw them roaming on her property. Eventually, I caught a rabbit early one morning sitting happily in her flowerbeds. Probably the culprit. Since then, there has been peace.
