We are now curious when you will resume the work; so far we only know that you will not meet the planned deadline and in what quality this will be done. Perhaps then I can also write some positive things and thereby improve your tarnished image a bit. The neighbors will certainly watch with interest what is being created there.

If we build the foundations for a garage for you, this by no means means that we have anything to do with the building application for the garage. You requested an offer for the garage planning and received it. And yes, this email also contained "Attached you will find the order form for the garage with the request for signature. Best regards"
The fact that you were aware that we did not have a contract for the building application of your garage is not changed in the slightest by this addition.

We will comment on the topics "height specifications" and "why the masonry work cannot begin on 01.08." later. We are currently working on preparing the topic of height specifications in particular so that it becomes reasonably understandable.

These pictures clearly show the scope of the site's modeling: Our design envisioned that earth would only need to be moved where the house would have been too low.

Now let's come to the question of why we cannot begin the masonry work as planned:

First, we must determine that the arrangement of the kitchen window was incorrect. However, this is not a reason why the masonry work could not have started as scheduled.

When you decided to remove the windows from the contract, there were numerous change requests. The currently contracted window installer could have also installed the windows according to our plans. These are simply changes desired by the client. It is unfortunate that the change requests were first sent to the client’s lawyer on 21.07, who in turn sent them to our lawyer on 22.07. We received this letter on 25.07. The change requests are currently being implemented in the planning. Once these plans are approved by the client, construction of the house can proceed.

A precise specification of the floor structure is also being criticized. A look at the documents shows that it is 17.5 cm on the ground floor and 13.5 cm on the upper floor. Information about the layer structure can be found in the thermal insulation certificate.

You should have done that earlier and don’t have to do it now anymore. The basement is already built and now you just have to build the house on it as planned... and pay the contractual penalty for the construction delay.

Stupid that you did not discuss this with us. Then I would have told you that I do not want it that way. I do not want a house whose living room is below street level. You may live like that. I would not like that. If you search the emails to Mr. B., you will find that we expressed our wish, (according to his suggestion) to actually have the basement protrude from the earth (as it is now) and it is not your problem how the modeling is executed. I think anyway that we will not be able to resolve our problem out of court.
