He could have, but he shouldn't. As I already said: We have the authority to decide that. I am not responsible if your lawyer does not forward it to you immediately.

According to the letter from your lawyer dated 15.7.2015, our request regarding the height of the windows had already been discussed with the structural engineer and was declared feasible by him.

Could you specify the multitude of change requests a bit more precisely so that the reader understands what you are talking about?
Changing one window would not be a reason to start the work later; if there are several, that is one. As an outsider, I would be curious and ask how extensive the changes were so that I can get an idea from this statement.

I would like to return once again to your remark that you had planned to move as little soil as possible. Here are a few numbers and a photo:

At the place where the second car is parked in the photo, the terrain height is 214.84 m above sea level. This path will of course still be paved and then about 10 cm will be added, so we will then have 214.94 m above sea level. At this height further to the right, according to your architect's plan, the height of the finished floor level would be 214.54 m above sea level.
You don’t need to know much about architecture to see what nonsense this is. The earthworks contractor you originally planned pointed out to me that all the rainwater would then run into the house and recommended raising it by at least about 50 cm.

Obviously, you were not so sure yourself about the height planning, because you then sent me your likeable site manager, to, as you literally said on the phone, "get the cow off the ice." He was supposed to advise me, and it looked like this: he roughly marked out the corner points of the house and determined with a leveling instrument that the house would be below ground on one side. Although he mismeasured by about 20 cm. When I asked how we should best solve this, his stereotypical sentence came......well, what?.....right!..."You have to know yourself how you want it!"
