The site was located in a depression and it was agreed to execute it as the neighbors (all neighbors) had done. No one has their house below the street and we pointed this out to your architect Mr. K., who took it for granted to build the basement so that it initially protrudes from the existing terrain and then model the terrain accordingly. He wanted to make us a drawing for this, but unfortunately nothing ever came of it. Although I sent him a total of 10 photos of the construction site at his request, he seemed to have forgotten what it looked like. He was also on the construction site for at most 20 minutes. Then we went to our holiday apartment for coffee.

Regarding the planning changes, a look at the calendar would be enough to see that July 23rd and 24th were a weekend. We have therefore known your specific change requests since July 25th, 2016.

We will not comment further on the construction project at this point.
In our opinion, the forum is not intended to discuss a construction project in all its details. We do not wish to fuel further exchanges here. The lawyers will deal with the legal construction matters, the experts with the technical construction aspects. Of course, we will continue to monitor the entries here and, if necessary, examine the extent to which legal steps become necessary.

so building half a meter too deep is really something, no matter what a client may have signed. A layperson can't even comprehend what that actually means.

: I completely agree with you. I know an architect who is extremely busy around here. You can see his name on many construction sites. I showed him the plans we had signed and told him that we hadn’t noticed the elevation designation. He told me that pretty much every architect goes over the plans again with their client and that he wouldn’t trust any of his clients to be able to read such plans just like that. Simply sending plans, signing, and that’s it is not how an architect works. Hindsight is always clearer. One thing I should have guessed: if an architect has his office in Potsdam and travels around the country for a construction company in Halberstadt, then #Mutmaßung gelöscht; Bauexperte and then you should know what his qualifications and reputation are like. When I signed the contract with NSK, I didn’t know who the architect would be or how his work would look.
