Ha ha, yes exactly, possibly!!! So there is no guarantee for that either.



And to this I only say, if the owner has no desire, then he shouldn’t sell and if he does, then he should also bear the fees for it.

And finally one more thing. If there were no realtors, houses would still sell anyway. So a realtor is not necessary when buying/selling a house. And if so, then the one who commissions him should also pay him.

And who is supposed to regulate that please? The state by law? Then it will be like with rents. You only get a house if you sign a search contract. Or something flows under the table. Pipe dreams. Trying to bypass the market, the East has already failed at that. Karsten

The setting of certain framework conditions by legislation is not per se in conflict with the free market economy. Whether this is necessary here can be seen differently, but that a regulation is synonymous with the abolition of the free market is simply polemics. What would be so "fatal" about the one who commissions the service also paying for it? And why is it reasonable when renting, but not when buying?

You didn't understand at all. It doesn't work with rentals. The tenant obligatorily gives the search order to the broker and pays the commission, that's how it is when there are 300 applicants for an apartment. And all too often there is also a fake [Schein] in addition. How would it work with an interesting, in-demand house? Or plot? Or [ETW]?

A broker is an intermediary: intermediaries exist in many fields, usually involving smaller amounts than in the real estate market.

But I actually do not know of any area where the consumer pays the commission. It is always the provider, whether it is the travel agency or the insurance broker.
But: this brokerage fee is included in the price everywhere. We just do not see it because it is comparatively small, so that the consumer does not notice it.
It is different in the real estate market, where lower volume but higher prices play a role.
