I can hardly imagine that... often surprises come with the construction. Subtracting the fireplace and conservatory, about €170k for a house, that’s €1300/m². Our shell was not much cheaper than that...

So we didn't build in a village, but in a small town... but overall we ended up with 200,000 euros (and that included the land, about 35,000 euros)... and the living space was 140 sqm....

For 360,000 we probably would have gotten a 250 sqm house + 2,000 sqm land...

Where exactly do you want to build?

Because I thought I would find nice builders or other people here who could give me a tip on how we should best proceed in our situation or what we should consider, or who would share their experiences with us. We are currently considering enlarging the house, then 1200€ per month will no longer be enough.

We are enlarging the conservatory house with Town & Country. We have already signed and have all costs in writing. We simply do not have any other frills like, for example, a basement, underfloor heating, electric shutters... we didn’t have those before and don’t need them. I always find it a pity when someone claims that this or that is not credible or not true. I don’t write such a post just for fun.
