Normally: No Real arguments? None, except: The neighbor did the same. But that can backfire for the neighbor. I wouldn’t care though, since that would be the only argument that counts. So ask the neighbors. Otherwise, take an awning. Or a fixed sun sail. That’s also more airy. You’re too late with that. You knew that BEFORE building the house. So no whining. No one forced you to build the house in a way that no terrace canopy fits anymore. That was entirely your own decision. Oh yes, is that acceptable? No. 175cm is acceptable. Or a sun umbrella or a sun sail is acceptable. Maybe you’ll have a nice person across from you on Thursday who is receptive to your wish. But you have no entitlement (at most, if the neighbor was allowed to build legally).

Thank you for the reminder but I am not demented. I know that I bought it myself like this, I just want to assess whether a 2.25m excess is considered minimal or a lot. In the entire neighborhood there are patio roofs, but whether they are approved, I do not know. I know that I have no claim, it was about estimating whether it would pass through a special permit.

You could also refrain from your aggressive tone here in the forum, isn’t it enough that the admin already had to delete entire posts from you that were pointless?!

It is not a trivial matter, therefore my "no" to your request as a response from the building authority. Wow, now you really hit one out of the park. Good luck. P.S. If you treat the building authority the same way regarding your newly arising wishes, the answer will certainly be a big "NO". Did you sleep badly or get up on the wrong side of the bed? Aggressive looks different to me ;) . That was the reminder that you plan your house before building it and do not try to correct planning errors afterwards.

Yeah, you can read that in the state building code for years now. The smart builder would have included the roofing in the building application right away. 2.25 is not 30 cm, so it's not a minor thing. And you can't argue special permits, since a roofing is neither vital nor mandatory. But maybe you're lucky, and if it's true that the authority is rather lazy, then they might not bother to check thoroughly and approve it for you. Who knows: a blind hen and a dumb farmer haven't starved yet either.

I'm not demented yet, I know I bought it myself. Just asking here for an assessment. Stop your aggressive tone in the forum, isn't it enough for you that your posts have already been completely removed for this reason?

LOL. You have received the assessment (by the way, your response to it was apparently removed again due to an overly aggressive tone – so maybe take a look at yourself). So why become unfriendly again now? The assessment remains a "no." What you are planning is not minor or insignificant. This has also been confirmed to you by . And no, she did not call you "stupid." But planning and applying beforehand massively increases the chances of not having to correct a planning error afterward. The people at the office are not very keen on that.
