We have 40 sqm terrace. In numbers, we have 80% less terrace with 250% more garden area.

We often have salads on the table when we simply have lunch. For big parties, I put the food inside the house. It lasts longer there, and it is cooler and usually no wasps and co.

There is no dead space; you can create it. have you ever planned your garden in detail?

Hello, thank you very much for your contributions. I will take another critical look. I also know the problem with wasps in the garden, but it was manageable, my mother only has access to the garden through the basement and no other option, I could actually put the food inside. What I forgot to mention is that I still have a large heat pump at the garden entrance, because stones come in, and behind it there is only a small area left. I don't want plants directly on the house wall.

Hmm ... Terrace space everywhere, but no path to the garden house?

How the tables are to be arranged ... drawings really help with that ... in house planning/kitchen planning, there was also the tip to place the kitchen by the terrace doors. Then, for celebrations etc., the conditions are generally more practical.

I am absolutely surprised that you are starting off so abruptly, no concept regarding later integration of a roof, no concept for loosening up the flowerbeds, etc., but first creating facts.

It's a matter of personality. My wife is the same. It doesn't always have to be a bad thing. But I wouldn't cover everything up either, and I was able to convince my wife that we wouldn't do that either. In hindsight, she is even quite satisfied with the self-sanded wooden terrace (20m², to be expanded in two to three years). what does your husband say about the story? Does he not care at all?

I am quoting from another thread. Replace neighbor with wife and wall with terrace ;)

Passages / paths 2.60 m wide. I’m not going to ask further about your body size...

Overall a crazy misplanning. But you want it this way, so go ahead. Why you still keep asking here even though you’re obviously resistant to advice is something no one understands.
