yes, that is the problem. Once you start with "you could do that too," it quickly gets too expensive. The heating pipes lie "partly above ground" rather than on the walls, so we should/must definitely invest here. I have only partly seen the floorboards; they are still covered with carpet. Since the house does not belong to me, unfortunately I cannot check everything in advance (the carpet would have to be completely removed for that). To be honest, the windows are okay, but just not up to today's standards (does it make sense to only replace the panes?)

Here we are in a dilemma: On the one hand, if you buy a house at that price, you don't want to do things halfway. So everything new, everything nice. If we approach it that way, we are currently at about 250,000 euros in renovation costs (plus buffer). So all in all, 850,000 euros. I estimate a monthly burden of 3,000 euros including additional costs, is that doable?

Have you also considered KFW? Regarding the renovation.
Is your plan to invest 200K euros for the trades listed under "what we are doing"?

Yes, exactly. They run along the walls

Our subjective impression. For a house that is 80 years old and has never been renovated/modernized, we found it positive

The floorboards will be normal spruce. It is not possible to install triple glazing in 70-year-old spruce windows.
