A well-built roof with high-quality covering can last longer. Water is also not necessarily required if the pipes are tight.

Well, then it’s just €4,500 gas costs. The same as with oil. Whether the heating needs to be replaced, you have to see. The Building Energy Act is "just" a law. But the chimney sweep often comes and inspects.

I thought (such old) pipes always have to be replaced because of harmful substances or impurities.
Let's take a closer look during the inspection.

How do you come to the assumption that you have to do all that new (and immediately)? Is the house in such a bad condition? I’m asking because until two years ago, we lived in our detached house built in 1954 (not by us) and gradually renewed a few things.

But you can't say that across the board. Energetic renovation is necessary, you have surely informed yourself about that. Insulation of the roof and such. Theoretically, you could move in then and live with the old condition. Because the budget determines whether you turn the house into a quasi-new building or only have money for cosmetic repairs. Windows, for example, could still be tight, could already be made of plastic, or they could be dilapidated. The heating system is also unknown. And so on. Edit heating: posts overlapped. When you buy an old building, there are basically things to consider. There are common sites where you can get information.

If you are also looking for inspiration for such a house (in this case built in 1949), then google "Kleinstadtklischee".. the house of Karina Goldmann. Dreamy!! Maybe you can also get in touch and get some answers.
