Would it be possible to build parking spaces instead of a garage in the south? Questions upon questions...

The thing with the parking spaces is actually not a problem... On the front "foreign" property, one could still put a carport for all cars.

Is a room (both living room and children's room) really that bad?
It's probably better to plan the house as a terraced middle house and be happy about 1-2 additional windows on the west side, right?

I can't follow you right now. What do you mean by 1 room and bad?

Whether north-facing rooms are generally disadvantageous or whether you hardly notice it anyway, I meant

We currently have a townhouse with two north-facing children's rooms. We don’t find that bad at all, as long as there are enough windows and therefore daylight. Our children's rooms are 10-11 sqm in size; only one is 25 sqm. Interestingly, that large one is exactly the one that stands empty, and the children prefer to live in the smaller ones. You have to play around a bit with the furnishing. Not every piece of furniture fits. The Stuva series from Ikea has proven effective for us because you can adapt it perfectly to small rooms. I would definitely plan the kitchen open as well, so that there is a sense of spaciousness in the living-dining area. If the staircase is planned inside, I would consider a daylight spot.

I wouldn't find a purely north-facing room without a west window very nice as a children's room. Therefore, in this case, I would plan the children's rooms in the west or south.
