I didn't see the wall and the door as potential savings either. This is more about square meters. The question is, to put it bluntly, do I build 2x 10m² or 1x 20 for both, if there simply isn't more space available?

We now have another appointment with the architect next Thursday. I will definitely post his results here again!

today we were at the architect.
I have attached his proposals.
On the ground floor, the wall between the kitchen and pantry is to be removed, as this allows a nice view of the garden from the kitchen.
In addition, the wall between the kitchen and hallway is to be opened.

What do you think of the floor plan?

I like it. Possibly reduce the hallway on the upper floor and add it to the children's rooms or create a small storage room.

In my opinion, the utility room does not need its own exterior door here. The passage between the utility room and the kitchen could be replaced by a serving hatch, then a U-shaped kitchen would be possible. Does the fireplace have to be there? - I like the partition next to it even less.
