We had a mini storage room in the apartment, similar to the last plan from the kitchen and accessed at a point where making a wall opening didn’t cause any problems. I thought that was good.

However, if, for the 3 sqm, additional walking space would have to be created, for example, I would forego it (always assuming limited space). If the 3 sqm instead open up to the hallway and can be designed as a cloakroom, I would probably also rather do without the pantry. You don’t really have any space for jackets and shoes there otherwise.

I like the new plan on the ground floor much better already. In my opinion, there is a world of difference between your first and this plan. Upstairs, I find the bathroom possibly a bit too large (in proportion). Maybe you can swap Child 1 with the bathroom and then optimize the walls a bit so that 12 m² can be achieved there as well. However, the children's rooms shouldn't be made narrower because, although you might have more square meters, you wouldn't be able to furnish them well anymore.

In my opinion, it is better than the first one. However, there are still some issues in certain areas.

I noticed the different door widths.
Are those space-saving doors on the ground floor?

The pantry is probably not useable in a sensible way due to the door and window.

I also find the bathroom too large in proportion.

Are you sure the staircase works at that size without a wall?

Take a look at semi-detached house floor plans. Usually, the stairs are on the shared wall. Often also as 2x quarter-turn stairs.
You have standard requirements, so maybe there is a suitable floor plan for you.

7x10m is really small. I find 11m² appropriate for children's rooms of this house size. With such a small floor area, there are only a few compromises to be made. You always choose the smallest stairs, the smallest door, the smallest furniture, etc. I would definitely not close off the kitchen. That only makes everything even more cramped and smaller.

Attached is the standard staircase with a minimum size of 2m x 1.90m. For larger children's rooms, a wardrobe in the bedroom is only 50 deep. Window in the entrance area is not optimal - difficult to solve. Maybe someone has an idea.

Kern-Haus has a similar design -> Kern-Haus Doppel Twin.
