Each tax office offers the appropriate forms and also filling aids online. Take a look at my post #51

For me, the VAT was also monthly in the first year (2020), quarterly in the second year (2021), and then yearly for this year. Once you know how it works, it is very simple. For personal consumption, you simply apply 20 cents per kWh for taxation, and for feeding in, you have your monthly advance payment from the energy supplier. So, in principle, there are only 2 values each time.

We have always had our income tax return from previous years done by the income tax assistance association (cost: €195 per year). Unfortunately, we are no longer allowed to do that now. I then inquired at several tax offices and was always quoted costs between €450 and €500. Therefore, I only submitted the VAT for the photovoltaic system and have not filed the income tax return for the last two years at all. It was once discussed that the regulation should be changed so that the income tax assistance association can also prepare the tax return in case of private use of the photovoltaic system. I don’t know what came of that. Otherwise, I will have to do the income tax return myself sometime. Even if, out of ignorance, I don’t claim everything I theoretically could for tax purposes, I don’t believe a tax office would get me €500 more out of it.

Now I'm getting back to the topic as well, after endless conversations and phone calls I finally have an offer which is still acceptable at the current time.

- 10.08 KWp with 24xIBC MonoSol 420 MS10-HC-N modules including installation (without scaffolding) for €19,000 net -> €1884.92 per KWp
- same system with 7.68 KWh storage for €26,800 net

We will probably have the system installed without storage or are still waiting for another offer. Whether the storage is worthwhile with a heat pump is still a question I cannot get to the bottom of. One says definitely yes, the other says the storage is too expensive, and the calculations always vary depending on parameters etc.

Certainly not for the winter period. BUT: think of the summer and transition periods and your hot water - here my storage does its job. And about €1000 for 1kWh is okay at the moment. And have times ever been better?

if you do the storage directly now, you can also deduct the tax from it. I believe that is difficult or not possible afterwards? I am in favor of storage, but NO one can give you the exact commercial and ecological calculation. too many dynamic factors play a role in whether it is worthwhile from either perspective. MEA one should listen to their gut feeling here. And if you are planning medium or long term, just ask yourself whether you expect the storage to become cheaper in that period (crystal ball)?

So far, we had not planned a storage system because consultants said it was not worth it.

In the meantime, there is war nearby and "Fridays For Future" are rightly shaking up our comfort.

The current plan is to set the system so that with the photovoltaic system – in case of a public power grid failure – we still have electricity as far as technically possible.
This requires a battery and a different inverter (I am not familiar with this and trust our electrician).
We had already purchased the electric car after installing the photovoltaic system on one first roof area, to store self-used electricity, but the Tesla fills up quickly in sunshine (and unfortunately does not give its electricity back). Now a second roof area is being added.

This costs a lot of money and I do NOT think it is urgently necessary, but because we can still afford it, we have decided so.
