There are various speculations in the future tense about the electricity price that awaits us. The question for people currently without photovoltaic systems: Is it reasonable to confidently speculate on falling prices for procurement and installation (due to the expected slump in construction activity)? Or will the situation worsen because of multiple global political crises (material shortages, etc.) and the "intentional" increase in photovoltaic systems as energy suppliers? Sure, crystal ball. But gut feelings also count! ;)

I think it just keeps getting worse. I will try to manage somehow with self-assembly and a nice electrician.
If you ever read: "Berliner Elektriker entführt". It wasn't me! :p

The declining construction activity will not change that. My gut tells me prices will continue to rise in the short term. Maybe in a few years when supply bottlenecks have been resolved and capacities have adjusted.

If that happens (not by you, of course!), we basically live around the corner... Three days more or less won’t make much difference. Although, kidnapping the modules will be much harder.

Modules are the only thing you can still get somewhat reliably. Inverters and personnel as well as installation materials are in short supply.

But yes, when I’m done, I’ll lend you my big carpet... ;)

The demand for photovoltaics is more likely to continue rising. High electricity prices with increasing consumption due to the electrification of cars and heating, photovoltaic mandates, but also the political desire for massive ground-mounted systems. The supply of materials will certainly grow in the medium term; global capitalism is quite good at catering to that. But the corresponding skilled workers on site are likely to remain scarce. In this respect, it is quite possible that a certain price peak will disappear again. But the thumb rules from 2-3 years ago we will certainly not reach anymore. Would I buy one right now...probably not. The situation is simply too volatile to make a reasonable calculation.
