Thank you for the answers - that shows me that there is simply no clear decision for or against storage. A definite pro would be that the tax is fully refunded.

Is zero tax not applicable on the package including the storage or how is it regulated?

Photovoltaic zero tax gross=net.

How do I get my tax back only for the storage if I no longer pay/receive sales tax and do not submit any declaration?

The gas price brake is planned until April '24, and the electricity price will probably be similar. However, I couldn’t find anything official quickly. I think we have to expect prices in the range of 40-45c in the medium term; I don’t believe in the fairy tale of cheap green electricity. The electricity itself may perhaps be produced at lower prices at some point, but the expensive part is the storage or maintaining fossil capacities for the times when there isn’t much wind and sun.

If you only buy storage - so not as a package - then as far as I know (as before) there is nothing to get back. So you pay gross. That is why retrofitting is always the worst idea. Today's prices would therefore have to fall by 19% for you not to lose out on a retrofit in a year.

For electricity? Yes. For gas? We are heading towards an oversupply.

I would be interested in the calculation that makes the storage system a good investment in summer, especially with 7 kWh for almost 7,000 EUR? It fills up quickly in summer. And then? Do you consume an average of 7 kWh at night in summer? Because if I fill the storage once at the beginning of June and then only take out 1-2 kWh at night, then that makes no sense. About 2/3 of the photovoltaic energy is "generated" in the 6 warm months. In the 3 mild and especially the 3 cold months of the year, the photovoltaic system at best only covers the daily demand, and usually not even that in the cold months. Or you install an air conditioner to use your own electricity in summer. But then you don't need the storage anymore. You can just take a look at the load profile of a heat pump heated house. You need the most electricity exactly when the photovoltaic system delivers almost nothing.
