Photovoltaic system: Costs, saving potential? - Experiences?

In one week, the Federal Cabinet is expected to discuss and also approve the draft coal phase-out law. A draft version from Tuesday now reflects the changes following the federal-state agreement on the roadmap for shutting down coal power plants. However, what still cannot be found in the draft are the changes to the Renewable Energy Sources Act that were planned in an earlier version. With the coal phase-out law, the 52 gigawatt cap for photovoltaics was also supposed to be lifted, which could soon mean an end to solar subsidies for all systems.
Experts warn that at the current expansion rate, the mark of 52 gigawatts of installed photovoltaic capacity will be reached already by spring. Currently, around 50 gigawatts are counted towards the cap. Even though Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Peter Altmaier (CDU) publicly stated at the “Handelsblatt Energy Summit 2020” that the 52-gigawatt cap will be abolished, the waiting continues – probably until the next Renewable Energy Sources Act amendment, which is also expected this year. However, when exactly this will be is still not really foreseeable.
