Photovoltaic system: Costs, saving potential? - Experiences?

Oh, you are only allowed to install a photovoltaic system on up to half? I thought starting next year there is even a mandate for a photovoltaic system on every single-family house... That doesn't add up for me either :D

Then you could build on half of the south side at most, so that it would be worth it at most. But that is not even 5 kWp... In my opinion, that is rubbish :D

Is there a building law-based reasonable justification for this? I see extremely high chances for an exemption application.

If a roof-integrated solution is not considered construction, you can install as much photovoltaic on the roof as you want. The photovoltaic system will then be somewhat more expensive, but it is still worth it. Perhaps one does not want the appearance of the mounted solutions – just as red or black roofs are prescribed in some places.

Maybe there was trouble because of glare effects or some troublemaker just thinks it's ugly. Who knows.

Perhaps a coal or nuclear power plant is the largest employer in the region?
