The bed in the bedroom is really reserved only for sleeping (overnight stays). That has been the case for the last 25 years and is not expected to change. Most of the time I don’t stay at home anyway but rather at the office or with the rest of the family. Even for two people, 140cm width is enough should anything change in my situation (which I really hope). In the worst case, however, I will register the upstairs living unit for personal use and then have double the space if there should be a significant increase (wife with space needs ) There should (no: must!) be room for visitors. I still owe the family a few celebrations that I have to host . That simply wasn’t possible in recent years due to lack of space and lack of a garden. Mainly outside on the terrace and some green space for the grandchildren. My planned open-plan kitchen is sufficient to quickly extend the table and seat a few more people. The bedroom is really of secondary importance. You can have fun elsewhere
