Hehe, I was already wondering what the architect could conjure up here (is he a buddy of Harry Potter??); if the staircase no longer works because of the sloping roof, even the most talented architect can hardly change that. Unless you’re allowed to add a dormer here, which is unfavorable for KfW 40; but whatever, that’s his problem. HE has to solve it. (Hello, this is YOUR house, so primarily YOUR problem). And the designs posted here as architectural drafts are not exactly brilliantly genius either. But at least doable. So he can change the position of the staircase and then the floor plan will inevitably have to change as well. But: the kitchen can’t be moved to another spot, the children’s room can’t be too big (after all, you grew up in a small room too and Harry Potter became a wizard under the stairs, so there is potential!!!), but for that there are three full bathrooms. The office needs an extra little potty because apparently it’s too much to go around the corner when nature calls. and so on and so forth. I’m out of here. kbt09 in my opinion provided a good approach and has still not received a hint of feedback to this day. If (more than justified!) criticism of the floor plan is expressed here, the response is sassy. All well-meant advice and hints are simply ignored or brushed off with "it has to stay that way." Well then, build your house the way you obviously like it. Have fun with the far too narrow hallway, have fun with your 4 toilets, have fun with this totally overplanned floor plan. Man’s will is his heaven. Be happy with it...
