I don’t quite understand the extra toilet in the office either. It’s really no big deal to leave the office and go to the next door to pee... That’s just a way to artificially drive up costs.

The children’s room size could be bigger, but it doesn’t have to be. But I react a bit allergic to arguments like "we didn’t have it better before." Especially when you then indulge yourself with such a wellness temple in the attic. Didn’t have that before either. A bathroom can also be done in 5 sqm with a small window, right? Just like before! *grrr*

However, I still don’t understand why there has to be such a big bathroom on the ground floor as well. Better to have a bigger children’s room and a smaller bathroom.

The hallway is really too small.

Robson, you can't lock children up either... I would have that much trust in my child as well.

That was not meant as locking them up and is clearly dependent on age. But nowadays there are supposed to be enough 12-15 year olds wandering around at night. I wouldn't want that. Also, physical separation between the parents' and children's areas is good. But in my opinion, that's a bit too much. To put it bluntly, why doesn't the child get the room in the basement? Out of sight, out of mind – that way the bathroom upstairs could be smaller, the guest room slightly differently arranged, and you'd have more space in the front hallway.

I am very surprised and keep asking: where is the architect?

I have searched through the entire thread, nowhere was a promised drawing from him presented. Even a blind person would have spotted the 8 meters from the old property on the drawing. But whatever, that is now forgotten and over.
I always have to smile at the argument about how everything used to be done differently. But insisting on a dressing room and wellness bathroom...
Yes, apparently a too small children's room in childhood distorts the views of a functional house design.
Apart from the mismatched room sizes: I see no sensible direct access to the garden, that is barrier-free, although the property would actually allow for that?!

On the other hand, I see that a pitched roof is now being planned: now the knee wall becomes interesting – do the doors even fit? Is the staircase planned the right way around or must you bend over to go through the upper floor?

There is no architect, right?
And where was north again?

Greetings

You asked explicitly for it...

I find the choice of words regarding the architect’s task reduction and the kitchen has to quite suspect. I also skimmed through the thread again and noticed that you don't respond to suggestions in any way and leave the only ones helping you here, like , hanging for almost three months with the last post.

And I wonder why you are now posting something again if you only handle suggestions in a snappy manner.

And: is this all about the Kfw40 option again?

By the way, I found the architect’s draft: it is by no means thrilling, but for me, it has the only true approach to positioning the building on the plot – namely longitudinally.

There are some here in the forum who would show more initiative regarding helpfulness if the other side was also willing.
