Then go ahead and share your drawing for posterity so that others can benefit from it and don’t have to build a "compromise house" like I did.

Now the attachment is here ... then compare your stair cutout with the drawn example: Your stair cutout will not be above the second step, but as you have drawn it (unfortunately everything is without measurements) above the third step.

The area for the staircase on the upper floor is according to

Old upper floor = 388 cm plus maybe another 10 cm that can be gained up to the bathroom door:

On the new upper floor, then on these 388 cm or possibly up to 398 cm are the staircase, the wall, and really 100 cm niche in the bathroom? Then the staircase does not work.

... it's really a shame that you feel so offended.

Man's will is his kingdom...

If you yourself don't notice that the bathroom is simply a disaster, then all well-meaning advice here is in vain. The same goes for the kitchen. You want it that way. Do it that way.

You will surely find an architect who will then draw the plan just like that for you. Probably shaking their head, but whatever... They will still get their money, YOU (!!) will have to live in this messed-up house afterwards.

Otherwise, here is a clear statement again: Unfortunately, you have neither the talent nor the knowledge of what makes a good floor plan and what a sensible arrangement of kitchen and bathroom means. For that, you have been stumbling around in the forum for 6 pages, ignoring almost all good advice, feeling personally offended and insulted. The floor plan does not get better and even your new proposals are hair-raising (honestly: I had to look twice at the new bathroom layout to really believe it was serious; I still think it’s a joke!). You don’t seem to have realized that no one here is trying to piss you off for fun. Who would benefit from that? Several very dedicated people here are trying to help you make your house pleasant to live in. The discussion pro or contra granny flat has happened several times, everyone should do as they wish. But even I see serious flaws in your floor plan and now you still have the opportunity to fix them. Sometimes you have to swallow a frog or give up an idea that you previously liked a lot. Especially when, like you, you have been working on the design for a year. That easily makes you stuck and unable to move forward. But then the ability should be there to recognize that and act accordingly. That is what I find lacking here. As I said: if you want it that way, do it. But it is not sensible. Especially kitchen and bathroom – I am automatically shaking my head continuously. The solution with the walk-in closet wouldn’t be my choice either, but that’s a matter of taste. (I would prefer going through the walk-in closet into the bedroom) and those slanted walls just make no sense. But one can live with that. The pointlessness of the bathroom layout and the kitchen weigh more heavily. I did not check the staircase, but I think ypg has enough experience there and if she says it won't work that way, then I believe her.

My good advice: go to a capable architect. Don’t show them the previous designs, tell them what you want and I guarantee you: even a somewhat talented mid-level architect will deliver a better floor plan here. Hello! What you want here is really no challenge: a rectangular house on a rectangular plot. That is usually relatively sensible to manage. Probably just not by you. Go to a professional AND-LISTEN-TO-SOME-ADVICE!!!

P.S. You can get jpgs more easily if you convert pdfs to jpg using pdf creator (free to download). It’s easy and the result is better than taking a photo of the plan.
