Both fit. But it was about which money has to be spent on holidays with children. And slowly it’s about holidays in general. Those are two different topics. P.S. I’m currently writing from an individual holiday in Lanzarote without children

No, it was ACTUALLY about whether for and his wife owning a home is feasible.

Lately, I’ve also been enjoying doing small multi-day bike tours with my eldest (9), camping and all the stuff in the panniers. It doesn’t get any cheaper than that. And we really have fun. I used to take vacations like that with friends (for example from Berlin to Copenhagen and stuff). But you need the right kids for that. For more comfort, of course, you can also stay in hotels or guesthouses. I would also like to go to the sea again and just lounge by the pool, but it’s not affordable, and luckily there are cheap alternatives.

I neither have a VW nor an iPhone. Am I then allowed to speak badly of your cruises?

How do you avoid an all-inclusive vacation in the Canary Islands? Do individual combinations make that much sense there? We have just booked the flights for our individual trip to South America, but we still have to choose the exact itinerary on the ground (with an off-road vehicle) and the accommodations... We are already excited....

No idea how it is with family during the high season. I flew to Tenerife in winter in 2017 or 18 (don't remember exactly when) and rented a car as well as a room for the first night. After that, I went on a round trip and always booked accommodation one or two or three days in advance the evening before. Worked perfectly.
