I am always amazed at the bubble some people in this forum live in, where a flight with hotel is considered standard. But this is also a forum where things like self-glued fly screens already correspond to Hartz-4 status :p.

I have already booked for next autumn. Beautiful holiday home in the Black Forest with 3 bedrooms and a property with very good reviews for €36/night.

We wanted to take a flight trip this year with four people (haben wir noch nie) and again this year no chance. Nothing was possible within the holidays for under €3500, for something according to our ideas it would have been around €4000. No chance, not even in Bulgaria. And €3300 was the absolute limit anyway.

Yes, that's what I mean, that the prices for All in Club/Hotel with flight easily go over 4K when you have to travel during the summer holidays. And by the way, I got the last insect screen door myself from the hardware store and assembled it, so I don't throw even more money after the window guy. Because even if you spend a lot of money on vacations, it doesn't mean that you also look for the cheapest fuel or compare offers in everyday life. If you don't do that, you can't afford the cruise or the wellness hotel multiple times a year…

I can't really comment on that, but you don't necessarily have to. For example, we often traveled during the Pentecost holidays because it was off-season in Denmark (unlike a few kilometers closer to the German coasts...). Autumn holidays are also a good time to travel south. Those from BW or BY often already have off-season at the end of the holidays. And on the other hand, there are nice vacations besides club vacations and flights. If someone really wants that and can afford it, they should go ahead. But I still think it's wrong to force others to include that in their calculations just because you want to do it that way yourself.
