Last time I went on vacation was in 2019. Will probably go on vacation again at the earliest in two years.

I have no children and am not saving for any. My husband has some, but they are not considered as heir-children. The house is mine.

Because cruises generally seem boring to children due to boundaries, house rules, lack of greenery, etc?!
There is really a lack of empathy there.

As if they see it like we do: now I will also grab the drawer that many here evidently serve themselves from like a dresser. Fries are available to children for their joy almost everywhere every day – a shrimp evening is totally irrelevant to them, even if they like it. The significance is with the adults, not the children.

always these generalizations. showing my 8-year-old self the fries plate while next to it someone is stuffing themselves at the all you can eat shrimp table would have ended with fries in the nose, and not mine. Although I loved salmon caviar the most.

o_O I know that completely differently, even from my own family. For my little cousin, there was nothing better than AIDA vacations. They don't mind a lack of greenery if there's a kids' club with a huge ball paradise pirate ship, daily fun activities, cheerful supervisors who do crafts and play with them, pools, and mascots in funny costumes. As an adult, you see through the magic, but for the children that was the greatest thing on the ship. This kind of vacation is actually great for the whole family because everyone gets their relaxation. While the little ones are well cared for in the kids' club, mom and dad can also lie by the pool in peace. Such vacations are not necessarily that expensive either if it doesn't have to be the Caribbean but the Canary Islands are enough.

As if they see it the way we do: now I’m also going to reach into the drawer that many here conveniently use like a dresser. There are fries almost everywhere every day to the delight of children – a shrimp evening is totally irrelevant to them, even if they like it. The importance is for the adults, not the children.

How do you know all that if you have no children? Even if your husband has children, your own children are a whole different matter. What is being played here?

PS: Anyone who has no own children should please keep out of debates that involve children. This is not meant unkindly... but if you cannot drive a car, you should not discuss the highway.
