Is that irony? A cruise with cheap servants from third-world countries as a life goal?

So you belong to the people who can't recognize irony even if they are sick of it :D

To answer that rather extensively:
If you have children of the right age who are generally into something like that, then yes.
Whether that then is an unforgettable vacation for the parents is another matter :)

Again, someone who maintains prejudices here and can only argue polemically. Wrong, if you haven't even read the post, here it is again: I wrote vacation (not life goal). Because what could be better than seeing new countries every day without packing your bags or making a 360-degree turn with the ship at the Seven Sisters right in the middle of the Geirangerfjord and feeling like you are only a few meters away from the rock face. Plus entertainment, good food, modern ships, and all the party poopers don’t come along either. So also a pleasant crowd. And you hardly find staff as friendly and nice as the Filipino people in Europe. They even apologize if the cabin isn't ready after breakfast or if the wine isn't immediately refilled in the restaurant. Service is still taken seriously there. I know it quite differently from some land vacations.

The nice Filipino employees who are pressured to sell at least X drinks etc. in order to get their salary? No wonder they try hard to fulfill every wish. There have been various posts about that already. But well, it wouldn't be for me on a cruise ship.

And you apparently see irony where there is none

Interesting for adults. Definitely. For teenagers too. But not for children. We are talking about holidays with children – so up to 12/14 at most. They don’t care about the turn any more than about a U-turn at a dead end.
