I just did that. Not as meticulously as a forensic workday where everything must be legally admissible, but I googled around a bit and drew the conclusion: it's about the costs, how much the _German holidaymaker_ is on average willing (or has done) to pay overall for their vacation. It’s not about the average German, but about the average German holidaymaker. So if 40% of Germans travel, these 40% spend on average this 1000-something. And this does not mean the package booking, but the budget spent on the vacation including additional costs. For me, not at all. Forsa surveyed 14xy (one thousand four hundred and some) people for this market research survey. Topic: holidaymakers. Topic was not: Germans. hm… We are probably considered DINKs… also at an age where one should spend 300€ more. We could splurge, especially since we are used to flying trips from our parents. However, we enjoy camping. For me exactly what was not shown to me before. Let Forsa try to prove otherwise
That could of course also be that you now like to do what was denied to you earlier. If it is a nice holiday for you, then everything is fine. And yes, with such a survey there is of course a wide range… But those who go on vacation can logically only state a budget for their holiday. And if here in the house building forum 40% do not go on holiday (which I find hard to imagine), the survey is not appropriate. But here almost everyone will probably go away once a year (where, with what, and in what way, whatever).
