Exactly, to each their own, whatever they like to do. But the cruise bashing is always entertaining. People who have never been on a cruise bash it with little facts instead of respecting other vacations. So thank you for your comment, Yosan. And I agree that the working conditions may not be the best, but often there is a double standard in the public. Because then please don’t buy a car from VW made in China (Uyghurs etc.) or clothes made by children’s hands in India, like iPhones from China. All very bad, but the majority still buy it. I won't let my cruises be put in a bad light because of that!

It was about the Oki Doki fun for your children and not for you. Especially when your children (at that time) are generally open to such things. Whether that is great for you is another matter :)

In the end, everyone has to know for themselves what is right. You often only find that out over time or you have to see what types of children you have. My wife and I loved traveling through Southeast Asia with a backpack. The outbound flight was booked, and the return flight 4 weeks later. Everything else (except a rough route) was decided on site. Now, with a small child, vacations turned out differently. When the little one was 8 months old, we spent 2 weeks with a camper in Austria, and when he was nearly 2, we spent 10 days in a hotel in Mallorca. In the long term, I hope that we can lean more toward backpacker vacations with our children, but whether that is realistic is another matter. Not always running around with blinders on, but also looking left and right :)

Exactly, and one person prefers an all-inclusive vacation while the other prefers to travel individually.
