I would definitely swap the wardrobe and the WC, so the WC is located a bit further outside the dirt area of the entrance door, and you don't have to walk through dirt when going to the toilet from the sofa. This is supposed to be a wardrobe room, right?

Do I see that correctly: In the upper floor the bathroom is in the north and the bedroom in the south? I would reconsider the room layout. Better a sunny bathroom and a rather cool bedroom on the N / NE side and the children's rooms on the south / SE side. I have also thought about swapping the WC and the cloakroom, but I am still a bit undecided. If so, then definitely also change the hinge of the front door, otherwise you always have to go around the door to get to the cloakroom. That is annoying if several people want to enter the house at the same time.

Swapping the WC and storage room (is not a wardrobe) is a good idea. By the way, I also thought about adding an extra wall between the two rooms and the staircase as a windbreak. It does make the room smaller, but on the plus side, cold air won't flow down into the basement when the front door is open. And you could possibly keep the WC and storage room unheated and cooler. Upstairs: Absolutely right, but that's the case with all our floor plans because the technology and house connections (in the version without a basement) are supposed to be located in the northeast, and especially so that we don't have to run the downpipe across the house. Now the connections could of course find room in the southeast of the basement... Damn, found another option to play around with [emoji1]

Edit: I don't think it's going to work. With the current staircase, no other room fits in the current bathroom position, especially not the bedroom. The staircase would have to be a quarter-turn again towards the house entrance side. However, then we would lack space for a wardrobe, since the house shouldn't be deeper than 8.74m. Not so easy [emoji6] But I don't find the bedroom in the south all that bad. In summer, no evening sun gets in there anymore. The bathroom window in the northeast means at least morning sun comes in – unfortunately from behind when you stand in front of the mirror.

Again about basement windows. Under the carport and entrance area, you have already pointed out that it doesn't work. But also not under the terrace, even if it will be a slightly floating wooden terrace. So there is actually hardly any wall left where basement windows can be placed.

Since I was asked in another thread, I noticed that we got stuck here in this thread on an old version with a basement. In the end, we didn't build it after all It was quite a back and forth due to unclear costs, both for soil replacement and for the basement. The GUs either couldn't or didn't want to make the prices for both variants really transparent to us. In the end, we decided against the basement because every euro less debt lets us sleep more peacefully.

So here, to conclude the thread, our now built floor plan, version 187 or so Was adopted 1:1 into the submission planning and then into the detailed planning.

And the most important thing: We are very satisfied, and so far wouldn't want to change anything about the layout. Only the attic could have handled bigger windows. We visited our neighbors today: The corner panorama window, which you can see in one photo, would have looked good in our house too. However, it wouldn't have really worked anyway because of our slants, so it's fine like this
